What first inspired you to start your company?
Starting Dreamcatcher Artistry almost a decade ago came from realizing a need in the industry. There were a few other hair and makeup teams, but I felt that they fell short in either customer service, or how they valued their artists. And on top of that, there weren't many to choose from. I wanted to create an environment that allowed our artists to feel supported, respected and to be able to flourish in their craft - while still being able to bring top-notch customer service to each bride and client we work with!
What is your favorite part of the event planning/wedding industry?
My favorite part is probably the overall vibe of the getting ready process. Each wedding party is different, but it's often such a lively happy time - I really value being able to spend those moments with the ladies we work with!
If you were to make one recommendation to couples you work with, what would it be?
I’m sure its a bit cliché, but it's so important to remember who the day is for, and what got you there; love! It’s so easy to get caught up in the little details that ultimately don't matter!
What is your favorite wedding memory to date?
I did a wedding down in Mexico that was so laid back and chill, it has to be my one of favorite wedding memories. The bride didn't let anything get to her and the ambiance of the location was to die for (of course!). I felt so fortunate that she chose us to be there for her and her ladies!
